I will really be pissed off if this is MS strategy to tweak their software in favor of their own hardware, therefore edging over OEM products. I have an Surface RT so I know clearly how Surface smoothly transforms when the on screen keyboard is automatically disabled whenever keyboard cover is attached. However, the most disturbing fact is that MS Surface does not suffer from this issue. In other words, Windows 8 failed in the promised flawless transition between laptop and tablet modes. This is a universal Windows 8 problem across OEM hybrids (I found similar problems on Samsung ATIV smart pc, thinkpad tablet 2). This is no simple way to automatically turn the on screen keyboard off when docked. But that will also disable the on screen keyboard when TF810C is in tablet mode (keyboard detached) when on screen keyboard is needed. The only known solution is to turn off the touch and handwriting service.

The on screen keyboard blocks my view, shifts the text display to give space to the on screen keyboard, and has to click the 'x' to turn it off. This is super annoying especially if you prefer touch over mouse on basic text operation. Therefore in Office 2013, whenever I touch the screen (text editing area), the on screen keyboard will automatically pop up.

The issue is TF810C does not disable the on screen keyboard even in laptop mode (keyboard docked). Hi I'm new to this forum and I assume this is the one that has most Asus TF810C users? I didn't find another popular forum where I can communicate my opinions about this product.
